I built this after checking 33 Whop product pages one by one and realising that owners can't see their failed-renewal line. When a renewal fails on Whop (expired card, bank block, limit), Whop emails the member and retries for 5 days, then cancels the membership. Nobody messages the member, and the dashboard never shows the loss. In a normal month that's 3–5% of charges — on a weekly plan, four times more.
Retainer listens for the failed-payment event, DMs the member from the owner's own support chat within minutes, follows up twice, stops the second they pay, and counts only the revenue that actually came back. It also handles scheduled cancellations and members who went quiet.
