Hey guys, Deep here.

I’m a design engineer and maker of Resurf.

I save a lot of things while working. Inspiration, articles, screenshots, random ideas. They ended up scattered across apps, and I rarely came back to them. So I built Resurf for myself.

It’s a personal context app for things you like, care about, and work on.

  • Capture quickly: notes, links, PDFs, images, videos, and voice memos.

  • Organize later: spaces, tags, and stacks. Search when you need something.

  • Use that context with AI: ask your library inside Resurf, or hand it off to your AI tools through MCP and CLI.

I’ve shared earlier versions on Reddit, and the feedback helped shape the app. It’s now fully native on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Your library lives locally, with optional private iCloud sync.

Free to try on Mac. Free on iPhone and iPad. One-time purchase for unlimited Mac use.

Still polishing the small details. Would love to hear your thoughts and what you’d use it for 🙂

The capture part looks really smooth. What brings an important item back at the right time so the library doesn't become another archive?

congrats on your launch!! 🚀🚀

mcp handoff caught my eye. i copy-paste random notes and links into claude every session, its tedious. can i scope what the agent pulls to a space or tag, or dies it just grap the whole library?

btw, thanks for making this 👍 great idea & propulsion!

#1 on a sunday, nice 👏 the mcp handoff is the usefull bit for me. does it work with claude code too?

The "hand it off to your AI tools through MCP and CLI" line is what got me to actually try this over just using Apple Notes. Question - once something's tagged and stacked, can an agent query by tag/space through the CLI, or does it only get the raw dump of everything you've saved?

@deep_lakhani the local storage and private icloud sync bit caught me, esp for a context library. feels way saner than another cloud-first knowledge base
curious, is search still fully local when icloud sync is off?

I gave it a try and its smooth. I was using obsidian for achieving same things. I'll post another review after 30 days, hoping for the best.

Love that Resurf keeps everything local and private while still letting AI tap into your context through MCP and CLI, that balance of privacy and openness is genuinely rare.

I use this app every single day, and couldn't go back. It permanently lives in my menu bar, and I store every single bit of inspiration I find! Whenever I'm designing anything, the first place I start is my Resurf library. Thanks for making this! 🙌🏻
