I built this because Google Maps kept surfacing paid spots and review-gamed chains. RealNear uses a Bayesian-adjusted rating combined with distance decay (RealScore) to rank nearby restaurants, cafés, and bars. No account needed, no ads, works as a PWA on mobile. Built with plain HTML/JS frontend and FastAPI on Cloud Run.
