I built QuotaTempo after getting tired of recalculating a daily token budget. The hard part was not just planning today; I also had to think about how much capacity should remain until the weekly reset.
QuotaTempo puts W (weekly capacity left) beside P (target now) in a native macOS menu-bar app, so the pacing gap is visible at a glance. It can show Codex, Claude, or both, without recommending which provider to use.
Privacy was a hard boundary: QuotaTempo uses services already signed in on your Mac and does not collect credentials, prompts, transcripts, raw responses, private paths, or telemetry.
The Public Beta is free and MIT-licensed for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. The downloadable build is signed and notarized.
