Pudding
Local-first desktop AI workspace with canvas and tools
Pudding brings AI conversations, shared canvas, browser, terminal, widgets, skills, and optional voice into one macOS workspace. Each session keeps its own context and tools, while useful results stay visible on the canvas. Connect OpenAI-compatible APIs, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Gemini, Ollama, and more with your own credentials. The public preview is local-first and available now for macOS.
Hi Product Hunt! I built Pudding because serious AI work rarely stays inside one chat window. I kept switching between conversations, browser tabs, terminal, files, and documents, then losing the useful results when the task ended.
Pudding turns that workflow into a local-first desktop workspace: independent sessions, a shared canvas, visible tool activity, browser and terminal access, reusable widgets and skills, and optional voice. You choose the model provider and use your own credentials.
This is an early macOS preview. I’d especially value feedback on:
1. Whether the first-run provider setup is clear
2. Which workflows benefit most from the canvas
3. What would make you use Pudding again next week
Thank you for trying it!
One thing that would make this way more useful for me is per-pane model assignment, like being able to run a cheap model for quick lookups in the terminal pane while keeping a stronger one for the main chat. Right now it sounds like the whole session shares one provider which gets pricey fast when you want different tools at different depths.
