When a buyer asks ChatGPT for the best tool in your category, it names five or six companies and stops. Proofsource shows whether you're one of them. It asks your buyers' questions on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews every day, shows who gets named instead and why, maps the pages AI trusts, and drafts the fixes. You approve; our agents publish, verify the answers changed, and learn from every change. Start free: 25 questions, 4 engines, no card.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Chandan, co-founder of Grovio Labs. Today we're launching Proofsource.

Quick context on me: I'm an engineer turned growth operator and a second-time founder. My first startup was Scholarnex, an edtech I co-founded straight out of engineering school. Since then I've spent a decade running growth hands-on at ByteDance, Foundit, Mahindra Finance and IDFC FIRST Bank, helping move $600M+ in revenue. I'm building Proofsource with Amit, who ran growth at Uber and slice.

Then the channel changed under us. Organic traffic went flat, but "ChatGPT" kept showing up in our "how did you hear about us?" field. Real sign-ups, from a channel we couldn't see. We had no idea what ChatGPT was saying about us, which questions it recommended us for, or who it named instead. Every tool in our stack was built for ten blue links. AI names five or six companies and stops.

So we built the tool we needed as operators:

🔍 Visibility: we ask your buyers' real questions on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews every day, and track who gets named

❓ Why you lost: every lost question, who won it, and what the answer leaned on

📚 Citations: the reviews, roundups and comparisons AI actually trusts

🛠️ Fixes + agents: drafts built from the pages already winning. You approve, agents publish, verify the answers changed, and learn from every change

One operator principle we built in: AI answers are noisy (up to 27% of names change day to day), so every number carries a confidence interval. If a change is just noise, we'll tell you, not take credit for it.

In private beta, 5 teams are already paying us. Today we're opening it up.

🎁 Product Hunt offer: check your AEO / GEO visibility for free. See whether AI names your brand for the questions your buyers ask, who it names instead, and why. No card: proofsource.co

Now your turn: drop your category in the comments and I'll post who ChatGPT recommends for it today. 👇

Comment highlights

A pharmacist found us through ChatGPT and became a client. I ve been wondering how to get more customers this way, so this caught my attention. Congrats on the launch!

fixing the gaps not just showing a score is the usefull part 👏 how fast do agents ship fixes?

the "approve, then we publish and verify the answer changed" loop is the part that sells me on this over a normal SEO tool - most of the category stops at the recommendation and leaves you to go implement it yourself three weeks later. closing the loop with an actual verification that the AI answer changed is the only way you'd know the fix worked instead of just trusting that it should have. genuinely curious what the "why" side looks like though - when it maps the pages AI trusts for a given question, is that pattern consistent across engines, or does ChatGPT trust a different shape of page than Perplexity does for the same query

Interesting, i wonder how good the pricing will be, if this will be cheaper than asking AI agents to research for me 🤔

Great example of building a product around a prob- lem you personally experienced. The ChatGPT attri- bution insight is fascinating

The "why is ChatGPT recommending them instead of us?" problem is going to get very real. Great product and great timing. Congrats!

Congrats on the launch!

For last few months, we've been seeing users who say the come from ChatGPT, but it is still a black box for us to find out what exactly they were asking and how they got our tool as recommendation.

This solves the problem, giving it a try today 🙌

Great example of building a product around a problem you personally experienced. The ChatGPT attribution insight is fascinating.

Proofsource was hunted by Aditya. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
