Project Mindsweep
Clear your team's mental backlog for a specific project.
A structured capture utility based on the GTD Mindsweep method. It walks teams through targeted prompts to surface the tasks, blockers, and "shadow context" stuck in people's heads. Not a PM tool, but the essential first step to building a complete project inventory.
Hi Product Hunt! I built Project Mindsweep because the most dangerous part of any project isn't the tasks on your kanban board, it's the ones that are only living in your head.
We’ve all been in that "stuck" phase where a project feels heavy, but the Jira backlog looks fine. Usually, it's because of "mental debt", unasked questions, looming blockers, and small loose ends that haven't been written down yet.
Project Mindsweep is a dedicated capture utility:
- Prompt Driven: It uses a specific series of triggers to help you and your team surface what you didn't even realize you were tracking.
- Zero Friction: No accounts, no onboarding, no setup. It’s designed to be a 10 minute ritual.
- The "Anti PM" Tool: It won't organize your tasks or assign dates. It’s purely for emptying the "mental RAM" so you can move the signal into your actual system of record (like Notion, which I use as my external brain).
> Best used for: Project kickoffs, major pivots, or when a sprint feels "muddy."
I’m a solo maker building tools for cognitive clarity. I’d love to hear how you handle the "shadow backlog" in your own teams!
