AEO should not be another dashboard. Prefer works at the execution layer, helping brands understand how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity talk about them, identify where they are missing, and take action to improve their visibility. Turn AI search insights into action with autonomous agents. Less reporting. More doing.
We built Prefer because we realized brands have two users now.
There is the human who buys, and the model that recommends.
For 25 years, we learned how to market to the first one. Now ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other AI engines are making decisions before a buyer ever reaches your website.
We went looking for a tool that could show us what these models were saying about a brand and then actually help change it.
It did not exist.
So we built Prefer.
The idea is simple: measuring the gap is the easy half. Closing it is the product.
Prefer does not just tell you where you are missing. It helps do the on-page, content and off-page work needed to win the citation.
Less dashboards. More action.
We are early, bootstrapped, and building this with our users. Would love to hear what you think.
13 years in SEO then pivoting to this makes sense. question on the citation unit: when you win a citation, does the lift stay on that one URL or does it pull the whole domain up? asking because I've got ~260 programmatic pages and no idea if LLMs treat those as citable or just skip them..
closing the gap not just measuring it is the right angle. usefull stuff 👍 agencies or in-house teams using it more?
Congrats on the launch, Javed and the Prefer team. Tying each Action Center fix to the prompts it should move is the right shape. The launch copy leads with Claude, but the pricing page only lists Claude Sonnet 4 via API on Enterprise, so is Claude tracking coming to self-serve tiers? Lots of B2B buyers research vendors in Claude, and API answers can differ from what people see in the app.
Treating AEO as something you act on rather than another dashboard to read is the right instinct, since most brands know they are invisible in AI answers but not what to do about it. Checking how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity each describe a brand is a practical angle. Curious how you measure whether the actions actually moved visibility.
Congrats on the launch! How do you tell if an action actually moved a brand's visibility? Model answers change a lot between runs, so I'm curious how you separate real lift from noise.

Prefer was hunted by Javed Khatri. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
