A fast, native PostgreSQL client for macOS. Its AI assistant runs on the Claude Code, Codex or Cursor account you already pay for, sees your real schema, and can only read: any change it suggests waits for you to dry-run and apply. Free and open source.
Hey everyone, i built Postquel after trying a lot of PostgreSQL clients. they all felt clunky, were paid, and never quite worked the way i wanted.
Postquel is lean, native to macOS, and connects to Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.. the AI tools we already use and pay for. browse tables, write SQL, or ask questions about your data using your existing setup.
it’s still early. give it a try and tell me what you think, especially what feels missing.
Hi Frizky, does PostgreSQL have to live locally as well, or can Postquel work with Cloud-hosted PostgreSQL? Also, in the description, it states, "and can only read: any change it suggests waits for you to dry-run and apply." does this mean that the agent doesn't have permissions to edit changes? Or is it saying that there's always a human-in-the-loop when the agent wants to make changes? Congrats on the launch today!
