Habit streaks suck! They get you going, but miss a day, and it's all over. Zero, as if you never even started. Polar Habits is the only habit tracker with no streaks, no guilt, and a *momentum* chart to help you zoom out, bounce back, and keep moving forward!

Happy New Year! 🎉 I hope you have big ambitions for 2024. I wish you all the success in the new year, and at the same time, I encourage you to accept the daily ups and downs as part of the process towards long-term, lasting change. After years of frustration with habit streaks and feeling demotivated to bounce back from missing workouts, meditation, reading, etc, I wanted a better way to track habits. That’s what Polar Habits is all about. It’s a simple, guilt-free habit tracker with a unique momentum system that won’t make you feel like a failure for missing a day. Instead, it encourages you to bounce back to a habit you might otherwise abandon. I hope you’ll try it, and let me know what you think! 🤗

I've used this for the longest time. It's helped me make lasting habits. Plus Merott is an amazing person!
What a refreshing approach to habit tracking, removing the pressure of streaks and guilt. Looking forward to hearing more about the positive impact your app is creating in the world of habit tracking!
Very cool concept! I get a mini endorphin rush when I maintain a streak, followed by crushing guilt when I inevitably run out of steam. It would be great if apps would consciously deliver that same rush when I make the effort to return a habit 🔥
Fascinating concept, Polar Habits! How did you come up with the idea for a guilt-free habit tracker? And, more importantly, how does the momentum chart work to keep us moving forward?
I love the idea behind Polar Habits! Breaking a streak can be demotivating and make us feel like we've failed completely. The momentum chart sounds like a great feature to help us see the bigger picture and keep going. Have you considered integrating any accountability features or community support to further enhance the habit-building experience?
I’ve done 35 push ups every day for the last 8 months because of it! I’ve tried so many habit trackers over the years. Some had too much going on. Others were streaks based and it bummed me out to lose huge streaks and have to start from zero again. I literally tell everyone about Polar Habits because it’s so simple, so intuitive, and genuinely motivates me to stick with habits. Try it - you won’t be disappointed!
Great job on the launch, saving it for the first day of the new year was really smart.
Huge shoutout to the team behind Polar Habits! It's evident that a thoughtful approach went into creating a tool that not only tracks habits but also considers the emotional aspect of the process. Well done @merott and team.
how doHey Merott! Challenging idea here. Removing guilt of habits tracking makes me feel better but also know that streaks works in order to force us to make something hard for us. you calculate momentum?
