Hey PH! Every "premium" HTML template I found was either a heavy React/Tailwind build with a whole npm toolchain, or a static file that looked like a free theme from 2016. I wanted to see if I could get the actual visual quality of a custom-designed agency site out of one plain index.html.
The hardest part wasn't the layout — it was restraint. A CSS-only 3D "material sample" hero scene with pointer-tilt capped at a few degrees so it reads as physical, not gimmicky. A dark mode that's art-directed instead of just inverted. Four portfolio visuals built from CSS gradients and pseudo-elements instead of stock photos.
Would love feedback on the pricing and whether the trust-building elements (testimonials, process section) land right.
