Muscat is a multilingual BBS for people in more than 100 countries. Anyone can create threads and post without logging in, use a fixed ID after login, decorate text with simple marks, attach code, and install it as a PWA. It avoids expensive translation APIs by making practical use of Google Translate, and is built around a fortress-site security philosophy with original checks against hostile input. Image posts and 4-panel manga are coming soon.
I built Muscat because I wanted a BBS where people could participate freely without being forced to create an account first.
You can stay anonymous, create threads, post freely, communicate across languages, attach code, decorate text, or log in and use a fixed ID and screen Edit features if you want to stand out.
Muscat supports people in more than 100 countries, works as a PWA, has 18 categories, and is built around our own fortress-site security philosophy.
An image BBS for images and 4-panel manga is also coming soon.
The basic idea is simple: stay anonymous if you want, stand out if you want, and use Muscat however you like.
