Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built pics.ar because sharing an image still involves far too many steps. Usually, the image is already on your clipboard. You just want to crop it, hide something, combine a few screenshots, remove a background, and send it. Instead, most tools make you find a file, upload it, create an account, export it, find it again, and attach it somewhere else. pics.ar reduces that workflow to: Paste → Edit → Share A few things make it different: — Paste directly from your clipboard, or drop several images at once. — Stack multiple screenshots into one clean vertical image. — Remove backgrounds at full resolution, without watermarks or credits. — Background removal runs locally in your browser. Your image is not uploaded for AI processing, and you can verify that in the Network tab. — Nothing leaves your device until you explicitly press Share. — The resulting link is copied automatically and previews inside WhatsApp, Slack, and Discord. — Anyone opening the link can keep editing the image; their changes create a new link and never overwrite yours. — No signup. In fact, there are no user accounts at all. The first background removal downloads the model to your browser and takes a few seconds. After that, it is cached locally. That trade-off is deliberate: a little more processing time in exchange for privacy, full resolution, and no per-image limits. I’d especially love feedback on three things: Is the clipboard-first workflow obvious when you arrive? Would you trust this with work screenshots you would not upload to a conventional image tool? Which workflow is most useful to you: screenshot stacking, private background removal, or instant sharing? Thanks for trying it — you can literally copy an image and press Ctrl/⌘+V on pics.ar.

Comment highlights

Love that everything runs in-browser, the privacy angle is genuinely refreshing. One thing I'd find super useful: a quick keyboard shortcut to add arrow or numbered callouts without having to switch tools, since I mostly use it to flag bugs for my team and speed matters there.

Finally a screenshot tool that actually respects privacy, no upload to some random server first. The background removal worked pretty well on a messy product photo i tested, took like two seconds.

Who hunted PICS.ar?

PICS.ar was hunted by Gonzalo Rama. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
