I built Pickle — a native, privacy-first screenshot manager for macOS. It automatically detects new screenshots, helps you redact sensitive info, and share a clean, private link — all in one click. Built entirely in Swift, Pickle lives quietly in your menu bar. No clutter, no cloud scanning, just you and your screenshots. I made it because I was tired of juggling messy screenshots during feedback sessions and testing. Try it here 👉 https://pickleformac.app (Free, no sign-up, privacy-first) Would love your feedback.

Great product! Yet can you launch a scrolling screenshot feature, it would be so convenient! Thanks

Big congrats @arshadkc on shipping Pickle! 🚀 The team's mission to build a truly privacy-first screenshot manager really resonates, especially with your one-click redact feature that auto-obscures phone numbers, emails, links, and addresses automatically. I love how files stay completely local with no cloud scanning. This is exactly what Mac users need for secure feedback sessions. Looking forward to seeing your impact on the privacy-focused developer community. All the best for launch day!

Love the focus on privacy-first screenshots! As a UI/UX designer, I'm curious: how did you design the redaction UX to make it fast enough for quick screenshots while still being precise? That balance between speed and control is critical for productivity tools. Congrats on the launch!

Quickly tried it, what I really appreciate about Pickle is that it feels invisible — in the best possible way. It just gets out of your way and lets you keep working.

The fact that uploads happen in the background makes it feel more like part of the OS than a third-party app.

Okay, this looks like a blast. My friends and I are constantly in a battle to find the wildest memes, and sending them one-by-one in a group chat is a mess. A dedicated 'meme hub' for our group is exactly what we need. The 'Pickle of the Day' feature is a great touch to keep the community active.

Hey Arshad! It’s really awesome. Love how you built it and I can clearly see the problem you’re solving here. Really congrats

I tested it on my Mac, and it does exactly what it promises. What stood out to me was how frictionless the whole experience feels. Copy the share link, and the upload happens in the background. No interruptions.

That said, there's room for improvement. I'd love to see it stay purely in the menu bar without popping up in the dock. Also, while @arshadkc emphasizes privacy, it's unclear how the privacy-first approach works—more transparency here would be great. Further, I don't know how redact functionality works, which is probably why the demo video on the website helps potential users better understand the flow.

That said, kudos to @arshadkc for building something genuinely useful and keeping it free. It's clear this was built by someone who actually uses screenshots daily. I'd love to see Pickle as an iOS app too.

Pickle was hunted by Arshad. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
