Hey Product Hunt! 👋
Maker here. I work with PGP regularly and always wondered why there's still no really user-friendly GUI for it — you're either stuck with the command line or juggling different tools on every OS: Gpg4win/Kleopatra on Windows, GPG Suite on macOS, raw gpg on Linux.
So I built PGP Manager: one app, same experience on all three platforms, no GnuPG installation required. Free and open source under MIT.
What makes it different:
🔍 Clipboard auto-detect: the app lives in your system tray and notices when an encrypted message, key, or signature lands in your clipboard (via the OS change-counter; it never continuously reads your clipboard contents). Encrypted message? Window opens, already decrypting. Signed message? Verified silently, you get a notification with the result.
📋 Context-sensitive tray men: it only shows actions that fit what's currently in your clipboard: plain text → Encrypt/Sign, encrypted message → Decrypt, key block → Import.
🖱️ macOS Service: select text in any app or files in Finder, right-click → PGP: Encrypt / Decrypt / Sign / Verify.
💾 Standalone mode: point it at a folder and everything (keys + config) lives there. Works from a USB stick.
One thing that's important to me: this is not a new crypto system. It's standard OpenPGP (RFC 4880) built on ProtonMail's gopenpgp v3 — fully compatible with GnuPG, Kleopatra, Thunderbird, ProtonMail and everything else. Your keys are plain .asc files on disk. No lock-in, no accounts, no telemetry, no cloud.
With the encryption debate heating up again in the EU, I think "encrypt it yourself, before it touches any platform" deserves tooling that normal people can actually use.

The clipboard auto-detect is a slick touch — encrypting a copied email just worked without me fussing over selecting text. Finally, a clean OpenPGP client that doesn't force me to wrangle a GnuPG install on every new machine.
