Perplexity's new Tasks feature puts your recurring research on autopilot. You just set a prompt and a schedule, and it delivers reports right to your email and your PPLX app.
The bigger vision here seems to be integrating this with Comet, eventually turning the browser into an operating system for your life. A very interesting direction.
Now it's rolling out to Pro and Enterprise users.
Link doesn't work for me; I assume you have to have Pro to even see the tasks option? Kind of annoying that there's not even a working landing page IMO. hard to find any info on this besides what Zac shared.
I've been using Perplexity for a good 6 months now and have really enjoyed the experience overall. Excited to give the tasks feature to go. One of my use cases is running research on finding ML/AI papers and getting the abstracts of the paper along with a ranking order in which I would prefer reading them. Having tasks do this in the background would be super helpful.
