Most surf tools give you data. PerfectWavees gives you context. You can instantly check if a spot is surfable in the next hour, but what makes it different is everything around it. Each spot is more than a forecast, it is a window into the local surf culture. Discover what makes a place unique, find things to do nearby with friends and family, and explore brands that are actually part of that scene. It is not just about catching waves. It is about being part of the place you surf.
Well, PerfectWavees started on New Year’s Eve in Costa Caparica. We were checking surf conditions like everyone else and got stuck in the same frustration again. Is it surfable now? Or in the next hour? Most tools gave us a lot of data, but not a quick answer. And when you’re about to paddle out, speed matters.
So we built PerfectWavees to fix that. The idea is simple: open it, and instantly know if your spot is surfable right now or very soon. No digging through charts, no overcomplicated dashboards. Just a clear, fast answer first, and deeper forecasts if you actually want them later.
But while building it, we realized something bigger.
Surfing isn’t just about conditions. It’s about where you are, who you’re with, and the energy of the place itself. Every surf spot has its own culture, its own rhythm, its own life outside the waves.
That’s why PerfectWavees is not just a surf forecast tool. Each spot becomes more like a small window into that place. You can discover what’s around it, find nearby activities for friends or family who are not surfing, and explore brands that are actually connected to that surf scene. It’s about making the whole experience around surfing feel more alive, not just the forecast itself.
We’re already working on a big update coming at the end of August that goes even deeper into this idea of culture and community, and we’d really love to hear your feedback and shape it with you.
Our motivation was to build some with love after spread true surf vibes, so we wanted to give back to you! Please write your thoughts and stay tuned for our updates.
Have fun surfing and keep safe out there!
Finally a surf app that gets that I want to know what's happening around the break, not just swell height. Loved finding a local coffee spot and a few brands tied to the scene right from the spot page.
Love the idea of pairing forecasts with the local vibe, that context piece is missing from most surf apps. One thing that would make it way more useful for me is letting users log sessions at a spot with quick notes on crowd, vibes, and conditions, so over time you build a personal diary of how that break actually feels on different swells.
honestly love how you tied the forecast into the local scene instead of just throwing numbers at me, feels like someone actually thought about what a surfer would want when they land on a spot page. that context layer is really well done.
Finally an app that gets that surf trips are about way more than just the swell. Loved scrolling through the local scene stuff for breaks I hadnt heard of.
