We built PC4713 because energy monitoring projects often need more flexibility than a typical single-phase WiFi meter can provide.
PC4713 uses three external CTs and supports single-phase, split-phase, 3P4W and 3P3W electrical systems. It combines WiFi with Ethernet connectivity and provides real-time monitoring of voltage, current, active/reactive/apparent power, power factor and energy.
One feature we particularly wanted to support is bidirectional monitoring, so the same device can be used to understand both electricity consumption and solar production.
We see applications ranging from home energy monitoring and solar PV to smart buildings and connected energy management projects.
