the WhatsApp claim-your-item flow only really works if everyone in the group is willing to open the link and tap through before you're ready to pay, which in my experience is the part that actually falls apart at the table, not the math. how does it handle the person who never taps anything, does it fall back to an equal split for just their share or block the whole bill from closing
