PartsPlan
Datasheet values for ChatGPT and Claude, with source pages
An MCP server for electronic component datasheets. Connected to ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or VS Code, it finds the manufacturer's datasheet, reads the page, table or graph, and gives each value with its document and page so you can check it.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm Yongjin, the maker of PartsPlan.
I built it after seeing chat AIs get datasheet values wrong in ways that are hard to spot. On Oct 29–31 I checked ChatGPT and Claude web chat answers against the manufacturer pages. Some misses: a BSS138 answer read the wrong temperature curve (about 0.03 A vs about 0.117 A), a TL431 answer quoted 2.482 / 2.508 V, numbers that don't appear in the datasheet, and an STM32 answer said a value wasn't in the datasheet when it was on a graph. All seven cases with screenshots: https://partsplanai.com/en/resul...
These are selected failures, not an accuracy rate, and PartsPlan isn't error-free: in two of those runs our connected reply had a wrong side detail. That's why every value comes with the page link.
Free plan available, no card. ChatGPT and Claude connect with a login, no API key. I'd love to hear where it gets things wrong — especially parts or datasheets you work with.
