I'm a freelance video editor. For months I did the classic thing:
scroll Instagram/YouTube, guess who might need an editor, send a
generic email, hear nothing back.
So I built Orty. Drop in a screenshot of someone's profile, get a
1-10 score on whether they're actually a fit for your editing style,
and if they are, it drafts the outreach email. If not, it tells you
to skip it.
Used it to send 25 real outreach emails, and that's not a
hypothetical. That's what happened when I started using it on myself.
It's a genuine beta, built solo, and I'd love any feedback,
especially if you're a freelancer who's dealt with the same "who's
even worth emailing" problem. Happy to answer anything about how it
works or why I built it the way I did.
The fit score idea is genuinely useful and the screen recording for pacing is clever, way better than guessing. Drafted email was on point for the creator I tested it on.
The screenshot-based fit score is genuinely useful and saved me from sending at least one bad-fit pitch I'd have kicked myself over later. The drafted email felt a bit generic though, so I rewrote most of it myself.
