Hey Product Hunt - I’m Ian, the maker of OpenMonth.
I built this because I kept running into the same stupidly simple problem: I didn’t want to “create an event.” I wanted to look at my month, click Tuesday, and type something there — basically the way I use a paper calendar.
That became OpenMonth.
It’s a Windows desktop calendar where the whole month stays visible, your calendar data stays local on your PC, and there’s no account or subscription. I also added the less-glamorous stuff I’d actually want in something I rely on: backups, recovery, search, printing, and PDF export.
OpenMonth is live now with a 14-day full-feature trial. If you want to keep it, it’s $24.99 once.
This is the first public release, so I’d genuinely love feedback — especially from Windows users who also think calendar apps have become way more complicated than they need to be.
