What inspired you to build this?
Everyone using USDT on TRON hits the same wall: you have USDT, you go to send it, and it fails because you don’t have TRX for gas. So you buy TRX just to move money you already have. Every time. I got tired of watching people do this stupid dance, so I made it disappear.
What problem were you trying to solve?
You shouldn’t need a second coin to spend the one you have. In ONIQ, the fee comes straight out of your USDT — no TRX, no top-ups, no failed sends. And fully non-custodial: your keys stay on your phone, no sign-up, no KYC.
How did your approach evolve?
I thought the hard part was the tech. Turned out it was making it feel effortless. Every version, I kept adding crypto features then ripping them back out — people didn’t want more, they wanted fewer steps between them and sending their money. The launch version is deliberately lean: hold USDT, send USDT, keep your keys.
