oghunt is now using google gemini to validate every product launch of the day to ensure there is ZERO AI slop. Also view the top 3 non-ai launches of the day! Lots of work went into this release so please share any feedback you might have.
Using AI to filter out AI? Most users here can distinguish quality content themselves. Not all AI tools produce slop, so how would those be filtered? The site is well-designed and seems helpful, so well done!
That said, nearly all platforms use AI at some level. Top-notch platforms aren't "vibe coded," but that doesn't mean engineers aren't using tools like Cursor to autocomplete significant portions of their work.
AI is part of our world now. Calling everything built with AI "slop" just hits me wrong, but thats me.
What qualifies as AI Slop though? Genuinely curious as I'm building AI products.
I believe AI products do have a lot of value even if it's just the UX that is being optimized with AI (copilots etc.)
P.S: If you're using AI for your own product, aren't you being a hypocrite?
What if the AI slop isn't core to much of the product but has become table stakes for the industry / to compete - as we still considered slop?
Wow, digging in, this is really bad.
Just because a product uses AI doesn't make it "slop".
Very misleading. These are not "slop":
I guess we can rest assured that AI didn't write the video script?
Super cool concept. How are you defining “AI slop” though? Is it based on keywords or behavior patterns?
Fantastic Idea! Could you please add a RSS feed? It would be extremely valuable for users of feed readers like me. Thank you.
Welcome to the new arms race.
AI fighting AI.
@hacksore how many launches that are featured here would your AI filter out?
THANK YOU OMG
I was actually joking on Bluesky a few weeks back about making an extension to do this exact thing
Finally! A way to browse Product Hunt without AI spam. 🎉 How does it filter out the AI-generated stuff though? 🤔
Like the idea, I think the PH team would appreciate this. What is the accuracy of filtering AI slop out? I feel that it filtered out everything where the word "AI" is mentioned. 😀
I have a collection called "Not AI at all" and it should definitely be on the list :)
Using Gemini to filter out low-effort AI launches is a smart move — makes the feed way more valuable and focused. And the non-AI top picks are a great touch too. Appreciate the effort you’re putting into keeping quality high!

Who hunted oghunt?
oghunt was hunted by Sean Boult. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. See the full all-time top hunters leaderboard to discover who is shaping the Product Hunt ecosystem.
