Hey Product Hunt 👋
Octa didn't start as a study app. We set out to build AI for translating doctor–patient consultations, and ran into healthcare regulation we couldn't get past as a small team. The translation core still worked though — and it mattered for students sitting in lectures held in a language that isn't their first.
That's where Octa started. Today it turns your own slides, scripts or notes into flashcards, and then actually quizzes you: you say the answer out loud and get told what you missed, instead of tapping "I knew that." Wrong answers get explained by an AI tutor that knows your material, and it plans your repetitions up to your exam date.
iPhone and iPad for now, Android in the works.
One thing I'd love feedback on: does answering out loud feel natural to you, or awkward? That's what we're least sure about.
