So, Nudge actually came out of another experiment I’ve been running called doineedacrm.com. The idea there was simple: before telling a business to buy a CRM, figure out what’s actually breaking. And one thing that kept showing up again and again was that around 80% of the businesses we looked at told us they had a follow-up problem.Not necessarily a CRM problem. What is a typical follow-up problem. Someone says, “I’ll get back to you next week.” You send a proposal and think, “I should come back to this.” A vendor promises to send something. An introduction gets made. None of these feel important enough to open another app, create a task, or build a workflow for. But they’re exactly the kind of things that quietly disappear and are crucial part of business process. So I started wondering: what if the assistant itself could be much simpler? That became Nudge. Nudge gives you a private email address. You Cc, Bcc or forward anything you want someone to keep an eye on. It remembers the context, tracks what’s still open, learns how you work, and brings things back when they actually need your attention. It doesn’t crawl your inbox. It only sees the conversations you choose to send it. You can use it yourself, or give one shared Nudge address to your team, almost like adding another employee who keeps the context everyone chooses to share. And Nudge only interacts with you and your team. It doesn’t suddenly start emailing your clients, vendors, or anyone else. This is still early, and that’s partly why I’m launching it here. I’d really like to see what people naturally start sending to Nudge once they stop thinking of it as another app and start treating it like someone they can simply Cc. If you try it, I’d love to hear what it gets right, what it gets wrong, and what you wish it understood better.
