We saw e-commerce sellers and app teams spending days coordinating research, scripts, presenters, voiceovers, and editing—only to launch one video and hope it worked. In fast-moving channels like TikTok, that process is too slow and expensive for meaningful experimentation. We built NovAd to make high-quality video advertising more accessible and practical. Our goal was not to replace creative thinking, but to remove the repetitive production work that keeps small teams from testing new ideas. By starting with a product or app link, NovAd can use real listing information—such as product details, images, prices, and reviews—to help create relevant scripts and presenter-led videos. Our approach evolved significantly during the launch. We first imagined a tool for generating a single polished ad. Through testing and feedback, we realized the greater value was helping teams explore multiple credible directions at once. NovAd became a workflow for generating batches of creative: different hooks, benefits, voices, presenters, and calls to action that can be compared through structured testing. We also learned that automation needs boundaries. Product facts should remain accurate, claims should be reviewed, and marketers should stay in control of the final message. NovAd is designed to make production faster while preserving the judgment, responsibility, and learning that make advertising effective.
