Namyra
Fantasy names with meaning, not just random syllables.
Most fantasy name generators give you a long list of syllables and leave the real work to you. I wanted a tool that starts with the idea in your head: a moon elf ranger, a ruined kingdom, a tavern by the coast, or a D&D NPC you need before tonight's session.
Namyra generates ten names from a plain-English brief. Each result includes pronunciation and a short meaning, and selected names can open into a deeper lore profile.
It is free to use, with focused generators for elves, dragons, wizards, cities, taverns, D&D characters, and more. I would especially value feedback on whether the names feel useful at the table or on the page.
honestly looks super useful for DMs, but a save/export feature would be killer. like let me build a list of names i like and export them as a pdf or csv, that way i can keep track of the ones i wanna actually use for my campaign
the lore snippets are a nice touch, kind of makes each name feel like it actually belongs somewhere instead of just sounding cool. honestly might use this for my next campaign
Love how each name comes with the pronunciation and meaning built in, super helpful when running a campaign and you need to actually say the NPC's name out loud without butchering it.
