I built MySkazka after one too many nights of "just one more story, daaad" — followed by me improvising increasingly desperate plots at 10 PM.
Here's what it does: you enter your child's name, age, and what they're going through right now — fear of the dark, first week of daycare, refusing to brush teeth. Two minutes later you get a full illustrated audio fairy tale where your kid is the hero who overcomes exactly that challenge. Upload a photo and they appear in the illustrations. Record 30 seconds of your voice and the story is narrated by you — which turned out to be the feature parents love most. Traveling parents tell us their kids now fall asleep to dad's voice even when dad is three time zones away.
The psychology behind it is sound: therapists have used "fairy tale therapy" for decades — kids process fears through a hero they identify with. We just made the hero identification literal.
Some honest notes:
— Stories are AI-generated but built on frameworks reviewed by a child psychologist
— Photos are used only for the illustration and can be deleted anytime; voice cloning requires explicit consent
— First story is free, no card required

Tried it with my daughter's photo and it spun up a story about her first day at daycare in under two minutes, narrated in my own voice which honestly felt a bit surreal to hear. The illustration looked surprisingly like her too.
