Half joking, half serious, on weekends or at 2am 😄 — I've been building an app for jotting down and tracking expenses for a while now.
Not because there aren't already 17 million apps like this 😅, but because I didn't actually like any of the ones I tried — especially the part where you add an expense:
* Enter the amount
* Pick a category
* Write a note so future-you knows what "$53" was
* Choose the account (sometimes optional)
* Confirm
* Take a deep breath (optional too) 😄
…and you do this for every coffee, every tank of gas, every "just grabbing a snack" and every "small expense" that, by the end of the month, somehow adds up to a weekend getaway 😅
So I made something much simpler.
The whole principle of the app is:
you type:
"coffee 4"
and… that's pretty much it. 😄

Here's the honest part: this is the first time I'm really putting it in front of people who aren't me and my friends 😅 — so I'd love your feedback. What's useful, what's confusing, what's missing or of there is any value in it. Tear it apart, I can take it.

finally tried the quick add by typing "coffee 12" and it just worked, no fiddling with categories. love that nothing leaves my phone.
the natural language input for logging is genuinely clever, feels way less tedious than picking categories every time. love that nothing leaves the device, that privacy angle actually matters.
typing coffee 12 and just having it logged with zero setup feels oddly satisfying, way less friction than the trackers i usually abandon after a week.
Love the quick logging idea, feels way less painful than other trackers I've tried. One thing that would seal the deal for me is a home screen widget so I can tap and log without even opening the app, maybe with a tiny history of the last few entries right there.
