What makes 'Motion' for me, is its real-time editing feature. It keeps me immersed in my creative flow, enabling instant adjustments without the usual pre-rendering or frame-by-frame hassles. I'm a lifelong designer turned engineer now building Modyfi along with an amazing team of fellow creatives. I've gone the rounds of graphic design, motion graphics, 3D, and photography. Spent thousands of hours in the Creative Suite and after all that I can confidently say Modyfi is my dream creative workbench. While writing this I've realized I seriously can't remember the last time I reached for any of my old tools; I just do everything in Modyfi. I guarantee you've never been able to make such insane, production-quality designs this quickly and easily.
Designing has never felt so fun and fluid. We've combined the tenets of generative design / creative coding with a real-time visual and tactile design experience that feels markedly different than anything the dinosaurs of the industry come close to offering. You stay in the zone, constantly experiencing these "woah, what the fuck??" moments of being surprised and impressed by what you're creating.
Modyfi gives you this tool belt of powerful and exploratory Modifiers with the granular control of something like Photoshop, all in a non-destructive playhouse you can feel confidently dangerous about messing around without breaking your design. We've put tons of effort into harnessing and amplifying this feeling of play to make Modyfi feel second-nature without ever getting in your way. I've spent countless hours on the UX-side of things building an intuitive experience which can only be achieved by genuinely using and loving what we've making, as a designer.
Before I joined the team, I had this recurring pipe dream of building a generative art platform, which would lower the barrier of entry to a class of design then only achievable to the creative coding community. And now I'm doing that??? Almost doesn't feel real 🤪
