Modaal for Android let you ship one app to both stores with your own AI agent - no rebuild. Rather than one React Native codebase that draws the same screens on both phones, Modaal shares the logic, not the screens: your agent writes real Swift/SwiftUI for iPhone and real Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for Android from one project, and the build proves both behave the same. So anyone who built an iPhone app with Modaal can add Android without touching a line of logic — no credit meters, no rebuild.

Hey ProductHunt!

Ivan here, co-founder of Modaal.

I founded my first mobile app development company 18 years ago and released hundreds of mobile apps to clients, and as my own products.

Over the years I built myself a repeatable, robust framework for building mobile apps, that allowed me to stay super-productive even in the before-AI era, beating competitors on the price, while still delivering exceptional-looking, scalable, and easily maintainable mobile apps.

The first Modaal release on Product Hunt 7 months ago brought my hand-crafted, battle-tested, team-scale-level development process to individual developers and small teams via Modaal - but only for iOS.

Today we’re making Modaal build cross-platform native apps for Android and iOS simultaneously. Your app shares business core, while each platform stays 100% native. It’s like ReactNative but so much better - because you never leave the native app ecosystem. Every UI detail stays Human Interface Guidelines and Material-compliant. You get access to every native SDK, capability, low-level hardware and every bit of performance, while your business logic stays the single source of truth between platforms.

This works by plugging your current coding agent - Claude Code, Codex, Cursor - and many others, including your favorite open-source ones. You use your existing subscription. Modaal gives your agent the initial structure and effective coding tools.

What Modaal also gives you, that no other vibe-coding tool has - the workflow. For every feature you ask the agent to implement, it writes a plan first. You review the plan and approve it, before giving it back to the agent. Planning is even more important in the era of vibecoding - because as your app grows, past plans become as important as the written code - they allow you to stay on top of the project, able to guide it, instead of the agents driving you blindly. Personally, I spend 80% of my time working and reviewing plans, so the code the agent writes has no surprises for me, and Modaal gives this to you as well.

So, get Modaal for free, try it, join our Discord community, share the feedback, ask questions - and join our Buildathon events. We’ve run four of them already, with hundreds of users building and releasing their apps.

Happy building!

nice product! this is exactly what i've been looking for for a while, but i'm on windows :( do u plan to release a windows version too?

real swift + real kotlin from one project is the right call, no react native tax 👏 congrats on android! how do you keep both builds in sync when the logic changes?

Thanks for giving us such helpful tool to build native apps! Congrats on the launch, @lenaavramenko !

I built my IOS app and I’m going to start android with modal it’s greater opportunity 🔥

What is the evidence in the build that proves that both applications act in the same way?
Btw, Congrats @lenaavramenko & @farbodsaraf ✌️🚀

Congrats on the launch! What happens when a feature work differently on each platform?

Yeeeyy... I was waiting for this release!! Looking forward to develop the Android version of my iOS app that I created with the help of Modaal. I already received requests for an Android version from some users, that I can hopefully help soon :)

This launch came at the right time! I have an app on iOS that I want to launch on Android and another one I am testing beta done with lovable and planning to launch as an app. Do you think I can take my 2 apps in 2 different stages and move it to Modaal for native app launches?

I've been using the product for a while! And I'm super excited about the Android addition!

Hi builders Elena here, co-founder of Modaal!

I'm not an engineer. And I'm still excited every day that people like me - with taste and ideas can now build real products and release them. It still feels like magic to me!

I myself build with Modaal every day, usually ideas and use cases I miss myself. And I care about craft: the three apps I've released with Modaal are full of well-thought-out details — I spent a lot of time tuning the design with Claude Design, and it feels good to build native.

Here they are, if you want to see what "built by a non-engineer" looks like: Memory Lane (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/memory-lane-private-social/id6760589051)

I also believe we're at the start of a native renaissance. Sound a bit epic, but this is true coming!
Notion just announced it's rebuilding its mobile app natively. Shopify moved off React Native and published the numbers. After a decade of "good enough" cross-platform, the best product teams are going back to what users can feel and, funnily enough, AI is what's making craft matter again.
The problem: every AI builder still gives you the web, or iPhone only, or a wrapper. Nobody lets someone like me build what Notion and Shopify are moving to.

So today we launched Android. Modaal now builds real native apps for iPhone and Android at the same time — Swift and Kotlin, from one project, with the agent you already use (Claude, Codex, Cursor, 13 in total).

Welcome to the era of native - and in Modaal, 2× native at the same time.

Ask us anything — we're here the whole day!
