Apple made lots of great things, but App Store Connect could be much better. So I built an app that syncs with its API and puts downloads, revenue and trends on your Home Screen and Lock Screen.
If you use Docket, my release tracker for indie devs and their AI agents, the two are wired together: Docket writes a feed that Metrics reads. If downloads or revenue jump after a release, the alert says so.
The Docket wiring is what sold me on this. A downloads or revenue spike on the Lock Screen only tells half the story on its own, but if the alert can say the jump came right after a release, that skips the whole open Connect and piece it together routine. To answer your question: downloads is the number I check first in the morning, especially the day after shipping an update.

Who hunted Metrics?
Metrics was hunted by Vadim Drobinin. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
