Meta Tools is an AI tools directory and recommendation platform. It catalogues hundreds of tools across all categories, with side-by-side comparisons to help you choose between options. The flagship feature, Find Your Stack, asks about your project, workflow and budget, then recommends a personalized AI stack. Stack Packs offer curated bundles by role (marketer, developer, founder, etc.), and Community Stacks let users share and discover what real teams are running.
Hey PH! Colby here.
I built Meta Tools after spending way too many hours tabs-deep in AI tool reviews, trying to figure out which stack actually made sense for my workflow and budget.
The directory currently covers 260+ tools (and growing) across 9+ categories with head-to-head tool comparisons, but the part I'm most proud of is the Find Your Stack feature: just tell MetaTools what you're trying to accomplish, and it recommends a personalized AI tool stack instead of dumping a list on you.
There's also Stack Packs (curated bundles by role - founder, marketer, developer, etc.) and Community Stacks, where real teams share what they're actually running.
Still lots to build. Would love to hear what's missing for you - drop a comment or a question and I'll answer every one. 🙏🏼
