Meet Melete, Your Personal Agent, on your hardware. The more you use AI, the more you have to teach it. Every new chat means explaining the project again. Melete is a personal AI agent with its own computer. It remembers what you're working on, keeps unfinished jobs moving while you're away, and picks a project back up weeks later without starting over. Melete Cloud is open for waitlist signups. For companies, we're taking a small number of pilot teams.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 Yesterday OpenAI launched Dots: always-on agents with their own computer and browser, working for you around the clock. It's a big moment. It confirms what we've believed since we started building Melete: everyone is about to have an agent that never logs off. We think that agent should belong to you. Why we built it: My to-do list was full of things AI could do, and none of them got done. The best AI tools answered questions brilliantly, then left all the doing to us. We wanted an agent that takes the task, keeps going when you close the tab, and only comes back when something genuinely needs you. Something open, personalized and model agnostic. What Melete does today: - Runs 24/7 and picks work back up when a reply, a date or an event comes in - Works on its own computer, with its own browser, connected to your email and calendar - Uses any model you choose: Claude, GPT, Gemini or open models, switchable any time - Shows you what it has learned about you, and lets you correct it - Asks before anything that matters goes out, and leaves a receipt for everything it does How it evolved: we started with a simple assistant and kept running into the same wall. People won't hand real work to an agent they can't see into. So transparency became the product: open source, runs on your machine, every action traceable, your memory stays yours when you switch models. Coming next: - A privacy layer that keeps your account numbers and health details from ever reaching a cloud model - Your own laptop and browser as the agent's home base, so it acts as you on the sites you're already logged into - A memory you can rewind We'd love your honest take: what's the first job you'd hand an agent that never sleeps?

2,4k commits alone, woof... I know what that cost, so congrats on the launch. I like that it asks before anything goes out, and that I can make it forget something for good. What confuses me is what I get if I install it myself today. The site says the core is open source and that personal use is on a waitlist, so is the one on GitHub the full thing or a smaller version of what the cloud will be?

Being able to switch models and keep the project's memory is the detail I like here. Re-explaining the same project every time gets old quickly. Congrats, Yashas!

Also, for B2B melete is an AI workspace for teams! If you have any questions, drop them below...

Introducing Melete Cloud

Hey Product Hunt, we're Melete.

Here's the problem we kept running into. You spend an hour getting an AI up to speed on a project. Two weeks later you open a new chat, or a better model comes out, and that hour is gone. You explain it all again.

So we built an agent that stays. Melete has its own computer and keeps a memory of your work: the project you started last month, the approach that didn't work, the decisions you already made. You give it a job, close your laptop, and it keeps going. When you come back, it picks up where you left off. When a better model ships, you switch, and your agent and its history come with you.

Two ways in today:

Melete Cloud, the hosted version, is open for waitlist signups at waitlist.melete.si. Early members get in first and work directly with us on what we build next.

For companies, we're taking a small number of pilot teams. Melete works across your team's tools, and people approve anything that matters before it goes out. Apply at melete.si.

We'd love to hear from you: what's one job you'd hand an agent today if you knew it would still remember everything next month?
