I'm back with a very different MealTap from the one I originally launched.
MealTap started with a problem I ran into after taking over the cooking in our house:
**What am I going to make for dinner today?**
I had recipes. Plenty of them.
What I didn't have was a good system for deciding.
So I built one.
Since the first launch, I've kept cooking — and kept rebuilding MealTap around what actually helps in a real kitchen.
The newest piece is **Fresh Ideas**.
Sometimes you aren't ready to pick a recipe. Nothing sounds good yet. So Fresh Ideas lets you browse meal concepts by mood, open anything interesting, and — when one finally clicks — **turn it into a complete recipe**.
Then MealTap takes it from there:
→ Cook it now or add it to your plan
→ Build a week around your mood
→ Let the grocery list build itself
→ Cook with guided steps, timers, tips and watch-outs
The idea behind all of it has become pretty simple:
**People don't always need more choices. Sometimes they need help making the decision.**
I'm a solo founder, longtime high-tech builder, and now the person who cooks for family and friends. MealTap is where those two parts of my life collided.
And yes — I'm still cooking with it myself. 🙂
