I'm Akeed, the solo maker of Markify.
I built it because every round of feedback I got on a website looked the same. A Slack message, three screenshots, an email thread, and a "the button on the left, no, the other left". The comments were never where the problem was.
Markify puts them back on the page. You paste a URL (or upload a PDF, Word doc or image), pin comments right on top of it, and share one link. Whoever you send it to opens it in their browser and comments on the page itself. No account, no extension, no install. You can even create your first canvas without signing up.
It also works on localhost, which is the part I use most myself. Run npx usemarkify 3000 and your local dev server gets a public, annotatable link, so you can get feedback on work that isn't deployed anywhere yet. No config, no script tag.
Two honest notes, since someone will ask:
It's a crowded category. Pastel, BugHerd, Ruttl, Marker.io and a dozen others. Markify's bet is being the simplest one and one of the cheapest. Pro is $15/mo and the free tier is genuinely usable.
It's early. I'm one person and there are rough edges. If you hit one, say so here and I'll probably fix it today.
