Mappit is the zeitgeist of Earth, on a map. AI agents sweep the world's cities around the clock and pin what's happening onto an interactive, time-aware map. Overlays include S&P 500 & Today in History. Users can drop pins, subscribe to locations & import their geospatial data.
One thing about Mappit that's special: It's a time-aware map. It's only two days old now and has already ingested 15,000 stories from 750 locations.
Its memory, search capabilities and Marco's story corpus will all continue to compound daily from the feeds, growing at 1,500 stories per day. A million story points in two years, all pinpointed on the map and in time.
And using the map's date control users can rewind to any day since its birthday to view the map how it looked then. Superimposed with the S&P 500 and whatever happened that day in history over time. A worthless capability today but soon to become very powerful.
It's going to be a giant way-back machine. Geopolitical junkies and history addicts won't be able to get enough. It's going to be something special. It already is!!
Finally a map that actually tells me what's happening right now in a city instead of just showing streets. The S&P 500 overlay is a weirdly addictive touch.
Love the idea of pinning real-time events to a map. One thing that would make it stick for me is a notification system when something interesting pops up in a location you've subscribed to, with a quick preview so you know whether to click in.
