Your files are processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server — the server only handles your account and credits. Get files under any size limit in seconds.
We’ve all been there: You’re trying to upload a file to a portal, only to be met with a frustrating "file size too large" error. You head to a compression site, but find yourself stuck navigating bulky, bloated tools just to shave off a few kilobytes.
Worse, you’re forced to gamble with your privacy, uploading sensitive documents to anonymous, high-traffic servers.
That’s why we built Makemb.com.
Pronounced Make-Em-Bee (as in, MegaByte), we’re the streamlined, privacy-first solution for shrinking your PDFs. No fluff, no clutter, and no compromising your data. Just fast, secure compression right when you need it.
A drag and drop folder upload would be a huge time saver, since right now you have to select files one batch at a time when working with a project that has many assets. Also being able to save processing presets for different file types would cut down on repeating the same settings each time.
Ran a few large pdfs through it and the whole thing finished before I could even blink. Love that nothing actually leaves my machine.
The browser only approach is really appealing honestly. One thing I'd love to see is a small preview before downloading, like a thumbnail or first few lines for text files, so I can be sure I got the right one without opening it separately.

Who hunted MakeMB?
MakeMB was hunted by Moga Web. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
