Our team's journey to build Logto as an open-source alternative to Auth0 has been a remarkable experience. Indeed, there are a bunch of identity solutions in the market, but why another one? This is the question we always ask ourselves.
Initially, we set out to create a solution that was both open-source and developer-centric. But we were also questioning the necessity of following the SDK pattern - still requires coding, still limited by programming languages and frameworks, still necessitates learning those obscure concepts like OpenID Connect and OAuth.
