Most task apps just help you do more. LivTakt helps you do what actually matters. You sort tasks by area of life (health, work, family, whatever yours are) and say how much time you'd like each to get. Then it shows where your time really goes and pushes the parts you keep skipping back up the list. There's a focus timer, modes for work vs home, and an optional coach when you're stuck. Free, offline-first, no account, no tracking.

Hi PH, Maurice here. I built LivTakt because I got tired of task apps that just pile on more to do. A dentist appointment, "call Mum", and a work deadline all sat in one flat list, and the things that actually mattered to me (sleep, exercise, seeing friends) kept sliding to the bottom. So I made something closer to the old LifeBalance app: you group tasks by area of life and roughly how much time you'd like each to get. LivTakt then shows the gap between that and what you're really doing, and quietly bumps the neglected stuff back up. I tried hard to keep it calm to use, partly because my own brain gets overwhelmed pretty easily. It's free and works fully offline, no account needed, no ads, no tracking. Syncing across your devices is the one paid part, and it's invite-only for now while I test it with a small group. It's still early, so I'd really value your honest take: what clicks, what doesn't, what you'd want next. Thanks for having a look.

Comment highlights

Sorting tasks by life area instead of just deadlines feels way more natural than my usual list. The nudge when I keep skipping something is the kind of accountability I actually need without it feeling preachy.
