Comes with poster and upload-page editors so the QR code actually matches your event.

I built Live Party Photos because I wanted something for a mate's party with guests' photos showing up somewhere during the night, instead of scattered across a WhatsApp thread nobody opens again. Looked at what else was out there and most of it felt bloated. Loads of dashboards and upsells, but they'd drifted from the actual job: someone takes a photo, it shows up on the screen. So that's what I built. Scan a QR code, upload a photo, it appears live on the TV. No app, no faff, AI moderation running quietly so nothing awkward hits the screen. Pay once per event rather than a subscription, since that's how I'd want to pay for something I'm using for one night. It was important for me to get wife approaval too. If she paused and was confused as to what she had to do - it needed work. Linking the slideshow to a device is still something I will work on. So I am still building this out, but would love to hear what you think, and what you'd want from it for your own events. I can create a sign up code if you want to try it out in a proper event (more than 10 photos) which will save you paying too ;)

Comment highlights

How does the AI moderation actually handle a wedding where the photographer catches a great moment that gets flagged before showing on the projector, is there a quick override for the host?

how does the live display actually pull from everyone's phones at once, like does it need its own device at the venue or can it run off a laptop

Love that the QR code can be styled to match the event itself instead of being a generic link, such a thoughtful touch for something so often overlooked.

the no-app QR flow is genuinely thoughtful, guests at a wedding aren't going to install anything so removing that friction shows real empathy for the actual setting.

Scanned the QR code at my cousins birthday and the photos popped up on the TV almost instantly, which got everyone actually taking more pictures. Love that there's no app to download and the poster editor made the QR code look like it belonged with the decorations.

Love how the QR code actually matches your event branding with the poster and upload page editors, that small touch makes it feel personal instead of just another dropbox link.

Took this to a friend's birthday last weekend and the slideshow was already pulling in shots from people who were still in the car. Loved that the QR code matched the party theme too.

Live Party Photos was hunted by Matt Facer.
