We built LipiMala because we noticed Nepali was missing from every major language learning app. Duolingo does not support it. Most resources online are either too basic or not interactive enough for children.
LipiMala started as a solution for Nepali diaspora families. Particularly in Australia, where people wanted their kids to read and write Nepali properly. The tracing feature came from watching children struggle to form Devanagari letters without a guided stroke order.
Would love feedback from anyone learning Nepali or teaching it to their children.
The letter tracing with instant feedback is genuinely fun and way more helpful than flashcards for my kids. Finally an app that actually teaches Devanagari properly instead of treating it like an afterthought.
