I built this because I got sick of re-pairing my Magic Keyboard and Mouse every time I moved between my MacBook and my work MacBook — different Apple IDs, so Universal Control was never going to work for me. Still rough around the edges in places, but it works, and it's mine.
Hey PH — this one's personal. I've got a MacBook for personal stuff and a work MacBook sitting six inches apart, on two different Apple IDs, and Universal Control just doesn't care about that setup. So I built the thing I wanted: hit a hotkey and my keyboard/mouse jump to whichever Mac I'm actually touching.
It's not fancy. It does one job. Happy to talk through how the Bluetooth handover actually works — and genuinely, tell me if it breaks on your setup, I'd rather hear it here than not hear it at all.
I can definitely see the appeal if you regularly move between two Macs. Repairing Bluetooth devices every time gets annoying pretty quickly.
The Siri command is a nice touch. Being able to switch devices without opening settings sounds really convenient.
