Convert your EPUBs and PDFs into chapterized M4B audiobooks. Upload, choose a voice, download — yours to keep. Millions of books, reports, articles, whatnot, don't have audiobook versions. We wanted to make it easy for anyone to turn their reading into audio they can listen to anywhere, especially in the gym or in their cars.
Hey Product Hunt! I built LibriTalk because I had a backlog of stuff I wanted to read that I'd rather listen to, but they didn't have audio versions — academic papers, light novels, niche nonfiction (and fan fiction).
The hardest part was getting the M4B chapter markers right. ffmpeg's metadata format for chapters is surprisingly underdocumented, and getting chapters to align correctly across different audiobook players took way more debugging than I expected.
Would love your feedback — especially on voice quality and the upload-to-download flow. Try the free tier (no credit card needed) and let me know what you think!
I resonate with the problem tbh. Have multiple articles and books that are just piling up on my reading list. Tried this with a pdf book I have been wanting to read. Imo, the quality of audio is just fine to fit the purpose, it may not be at par with some of the well funded voice agent startups, but does the job perfectly
