how well does the layout preservation actually hold up on more complex academic papers with lots of figures and multi-column layouts?
Tried it on a research paper with messy equations and it actually nailed the LaTeX output, even nested fractions came through clean. The layout-preserving translation is a nice touch for skimming foreign docs.

Formula recognition on a tricky research paper actually came through clean, which is usually where converters fall apart for me. The translation step kept the table headers intact too, which was a nice surprise.
Would love to see a side-by-side preview that lets you compare the original PDF and the converted Markdown in real time, especially for tables and formulas where I often catch small alignment issues before exporting.
One thing I'd love is a side-by-side preview that lets me adjust the conversion settings (like whether to merge multi-column layouts or preserve heading hierarchy) and instantly see how the Markdown output changes before I commit. Would save a ton of trial and error on tricky PDFs.
