I’m Tiberius, IT engineer in the automotive industry by day, indie iOS dev by night.
Kodo started from a personal itch: I manage servers and side projects, but every time I was away from my Mac, I couldn’t do anything serious from my phone. I tried a lot of mobile editors — some are great, but none felt immediate when I just wanted to open a file and edit it, and none had AI running offline.
So I built the editor I wanted:
• Full code editor with syntax highlighting and multi-tab
• SSH/SFTP to manage real servers
• GitHub integration (clone, commit, push)
• Live preview for web projects
• And the part I’m most proud of: an AI assistant that runs entirely on-device via llama.cpp. Your code never leaves your iPhone. It even works in airplane mode.

been wanting something like this on my ipad for ages, the on-device AI part is honestly what sold me. one thing though, can you add support for debugging breakpoints or at least some kind of console output view. would make working on node scripts way more doable when im away from my laptop
Finally a real code editor that fits in my pocket. SSH and Git just work on the first try, and the offline AI is shockingly snappy for a phone.
Finally a real code editor that fits on my iPad. The on-device AI is shockingly fast for autocomplete and the SFTP setup took about 30 seconds. Genuinely useful for quick fixes when I'm away from my laptop.
