Kintia began with simple questions from my child during camping trips and outdoor adventures.
While helping prepare firewood, I noticed that water boiled much faster at higher elevations. At night, we would look up at the summer sky and wonder about the bright planets and stars above us. Those small observations led to bigger questions about how the sky influences our daily lives.
As I explored astronomy, I discovered that calendars, seasons, festivals, and cultural traditions are deeply connected to the movements of the Sun, Moon, and planets. I found myself switching between astronomy apps, calendar references, and historical resources, but nothing brought everything together.
So I built Kintia: a place to explore astronomy, cultural calendars, and humanity's relationship with time in a single experience.
My goal is simple: help people discover how the sky above us has shaped the way cultures understand and organise time across generations.
