Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built Kindrd because dating apps have quietly become attention games, and queer people got the worst of it — bolted-on identity options, paywalled matching, location oversharing that can literally out people.
Kindrd flips all three: the full spectrum is native (not a mode), meeting people is free forever (the subscription adds depth, never access), and privacy is structural — city-centre distance only, per-field identity hiding, discreet mode, and chat is text-only by design.

the daily curated batch over an infinite swipe deck is such a thoughtful call, it actually gives the prompts room to breathe and feel like a conversation starter instead of a transaction.
The "per-field identity hiding" is a great idea, but I'd love a way to control who sees what beyond just a blanket hide — maybe let me share being trans with people who also identify as trans, but keep it private from others. Gives more nuance than one toggle per field.
Love the anti-swipe vibe and the privacy setup. One thing I'd suggest: let us pin or favorite a profile we're not quite ready to match with yet. Sometimes I want to come back to someone a day or two later, and right now I'd worry they'd vanish from my daily set.
Love the daily small match idea and the text-only privacy angle, feels much calmer than the usual swipe chaos. One thing I'd love to see is a "dealbreaker" toggle during onboarding (like monogamous vs open, or sober-curious vs not) so the daily set filters those out automatically instead of finding out three prompts in. Would save a lot of mismatched intros for everyone.

love the prompts-over-photos angle, feels way more real than the swipe grind. one thing that would actually help me as a user though: a "pause" option for your profile. like if i'm traveling or just not in a headspace to chat, i can hide from the daily set for a week or two without losing my matches or having to delete the app. would make it feel a lot less pressured honestly
love that the daily set replaces the infinite swipe—feels way more intentional and respectful of everyone's time.
The prompts-first approach is really refreshing, but a small thing would help: a shared "looking for" field that's visible on profiles so you can instantly see whether someone's after dating, friendship or something more casual. Saves a lot of guessing when the prompts are playful and the intent is left implicit.
