I got tired of having to open/look at Visual Code to see how much I was earning on @Kickbacks.ai so I built a CLI and Mac Menu bar tool to easily see how much I was making, the ads I saw, and which days, weeks, and months I earned the most.
Feel free to leave feedback and hope folks enjoy :)
Nice launch! I like the idea of having these stats available without opening VS Code. Any plans to add more metrics or custom views in the future?
Does the CLI need to stay running in the background to keep the menu bar stats updating, or does it sync periodically when you run a command?
How does the menu bar component handle updates when the terminal isn't open, and does it pull stats in real time or batch them? Also curious if there's a plan to support Linux or if macOS-only is sticking long-term.
finally a way to check kickbacks without opening another tab, the menu bar integration is genuinely handy. wish more tools did this.
Does the Mac menu bar update in real time or do I need to refresh it manually to see new earnings come in?
finally a way to check my kickbacks without opening another browser tab, the menu bar widget is genuinely useful for quick glances throughout the day.

Love how the menu bar version keeps things minimal while the CLI gives you the full breakdown. Smart move putting live earnings in a place devs actually live in.
Nice that it shows live earnings right in the menu bar, saved me from opening the dashboard constantly. Took a sec to set up my api key but worked smoothly after.
Love that this lives in the menu bar and CLI without feeling like two half-baked products stitched together. Most status tools either bury the data in a dashboard or stick a clunky webview on your desktop, so the restraint here is refreshing.

Love that the menu bar widget stays out of your way but keeps the live earnings number front and center. The terminal-first approach makes checking ad performance feel like a natural part of the workflow instead of another tab to babysit.
Finally a way to check my Kickbacks earnings without opening another browser tab. The menu bar widget is exactly what I wanted, and the CLI output is clean and quick.

Love that you pulled live earnings into the menu bar. That's exactly the kind of ambient awareness a CLI tool should give you without forcing another window open.
does this need an API token tied to my Kickbacks account, or can I log in directly from the CLI?
